At FreshPoint, we understand the importance and value of community. We take pride in supporting communities where we live, work and serve. From our annual involvement with BC Children's Hospital-Festival of the Trees and RBC Run for the Kids (Formerly BCCH's ChildRun) to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's Run for the Cure, we try to help where we can.

We are excited to be partnering with the YWCA's Crabtree Corner Family Resource Centre for a fourth year in a row. Crabtree Corner is an organization that provides programs and services for families who need them the most in one of Canada's most impoverished neighbourhoods, Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Together we have helped Crabtree Corner bring their food expenses under budget year after year. They have been able to provide fresh fruit in their bagged lunch programs, and offer fresh food to families in severe need all year long. This past year, 26,160 meals were prepared in Crabtree's kitchen. This includes 768 hot lunches that are prepared for two early learning and care (ELC) centres: YWCA Emma's ELC for the children of teen parents and YWCA Crabtree Corner ELC.

Our focus is on programs like this that enhance the health, education and well-being of our community. For more information, please contact us through our contact page.
